Donna reads where a Now goal stands when its current line is reached or its named date arrives. After your work-hours end, a sheet can appear above the evening check-in on today’s page.

Reading and answering

Donna describes where the work stands from the goal’s picture of done and its recorded work. If more information is needed, it asks at most one question. Choose an answer or I’ll write my own to type up to 280 characters. Your answer is saved.
These sheets require permission to share with AI. Practice goals are excluded. On a day with very low capacity, the sheet waits. Only one goal’s sheet is shown per day.

Choosing the next line

When the work continues beyond a reached line, Donna proposes the next line and a first task on a named day.
  • Looks right saves the line and places the first task on the named day’s page.
  • Change it makes the line editable in place. The saved edit survives reopening. Choose Looks right to accept it.
  • If Donna asks whether the goal has landed, Yes, it’s landed lands it. Not yet continues the exchange.
When a date arrives and the line is still current, Donna can keep it and name the next task. Still on it confirms that continuation. The passed date is cleared and its original words stay in the record. If your answer says the line needs changing, Donna can propose a replacement.

Leaving it unanswered

On the next day’s read, Donna can carry the goal forward with the proposed line or your saved edit and its first task. This can happen even if you did not open that evening. A line adopted this way stays in lighter text until you start work toward the goal. Silence never lands a goal. The goal’s page keeps the dated read, your answer and the line that followed. Reopening the sheet restores its saved state.

Asking in conversation

Ask Donna in words, for example “How’s the grant going?” Donna answers in prose and can help set the next line. Say when the direction has changed or when the goal has landed. The conversation uses the goal’s saved record.

A small step toward a quiet goal

After finished work, Donna may put a goal’s sheet directly under its record. It asks Want to do something small for the named goal, with two choices:
  • One small thing makes a small task toward that goal today’s next offer.
  • Park it for now parks the goal in one tap and keeps its page and history.
Other offers wait while this sheet is open. Starting something of your own releases the hold. Leaving it unanswered releases the hold at the next 3am in your account’s timezone. At most one such sheet appears in a week. A goal can receive it for up to three shown weeks; work toward the goal or parking it resets that limit.
