This page lists the common snags and the quickest fix for each. Most come down to a connection that needs re-granting or a permission that was declined. Donna’s voice, how many Actions you get in a day, and correcting something Donna has wrong about you are all settings. Those controls live on Settings and personalization.
Open settings from the sliders glyph in the bottom-left, or from the menu glyph in the bottom bar on a phone, and look for the calendars section, then choose connect. You can also connect it right from a chat when Donna offers. Connecting signs you in with your Google account and grants read-and-write access. See Connect your calendar.
The usual fix is a fresh grant: open settings, choose disconnect on the connected calendar row, then connect again and re-grant access on Google’s screen. See Connect your calendar for what the connection covers.
Check settings under personalization, “reaching out,” and adjust whichever applies. Common reasons Donna stays quiet:
  • “let Donna reach out” is off
  • your active hours exclude right now
  • you have been active recently, and Donna does not interrupt then
  • push is off on this device
There is nothing to download. Donna runs in the browser at meetdonna.xyz, and signing in there is the whole setup, on a computer or a phone. A Mac desktop app and a native iOS app are being built and are not available yet. See Where to use Donna.
If a reply drops mid-stream, Donna shows a small “try again” prompt above the message box and re-opens the box so you can re-send. Nothing is lost.
If a recording does not start or does not come through, Donna shows a short, plain note. Check the mic permission for your browser or device and try again.
The work view shows a quiet save status in the header. If a save does not land, it reads “couldn’t save, your words are safe”: your text stays in the editor and the next change retries, so nothing is lost.
If Donna cannot pull up your earlier thread on open, it shows a “try again” prompt. Your history is still there; retry to load it.
Open settings and scroll to the account section. The delete control asks you to confirm once, then removes your account and its data, and disconnects any tools you had connected. This cannot be undone.
Yes. Open settings and find what Donna sees, then turn off share your work surface. With it off, Donna still knows you are working but cannot read what is on the page. It is on by default.
Open settings and look in the integrations section, where you can connect and disconnect tools yourself. The surfaced set includes Gmail, Notion, Google Drive, Google Docs, Todoist, and Slack, and Donna can reach for others when a task needs one. If a tool you want is not in the list, ask Donna for it in a chat. See Connect your tools.
This is the plan gate. Donna checks for an active plan or trial before letting you into the app, and without one it routes you to the pricing page to subscribe. Once payment goes through, you land back in the app; if it does not redirect on its own, a “Continue to Donna →” link appears. If you believe you do have an active plan, check settings, then billing, for a “payment issue · update your card” line.

If none of this fixed it

Send it through Feedback, in the sliders menu in the bottom-left. It reaches a human.
