# Keyboard shortcuts: the short list

> What ⌘K opens, what Enter and Shift+Enter do, which keys work inside the start list, and which typed commands still work.

This is the complete keyboard map for Donna: if a shortcut is not listed here, it does not exist yet. None of it is required. Plain language typed into the message bar does the same work.

| `⌘K` / `Ctrl+K`              | Opens the [start list](/docs/daily/starting-an-action) from anywhere. Inside it: type to filter, `↑`/`↓` to move through rows, `Enter` to start the highlighted one (this is also how you start a timer: the work begins with its count-up timer running), `Escape` to close, `Delete`/`Backspace` removes a highlighted Recent row. Does nothing while a timer is already running in the work view. |
| Ctrl + backtick              | Hold to dictate. Release to stop, and what you said arrives as text in the message bar, unsent. | `Enter`                      | Sends your message. If Donna is mid-reply, `Enter` instead queues it in a chip above the message bar, and it sends once the reply finishes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     |

| `/daily_review` or `/review` | Typed as your whole message, closes out the day. | `/weekly_review`             | Typed as your whole message, opens the review for the week. These three tokens are the only typed commands left; every other door is a glyph or a tap, and typing anything else after a "/" just sends it as a message. | `Delete` / `Backspace`       | Dismisses the selected capture row to the backlog.
