# Week, month and year pages

> Look across recorded work, goals and your own words, with space to write at each horizon.

Week, month and year pages collect recorded work and your writing over that period. Each one has room to write between and after Donna's sections.

## Opening a wider page

On desktop, open the day's title picker. Choose a week number for the week, or its month caption for the month. Open a month's title picker and choose the year caption for the year. Arrows move to the previous or next period.

On a phone, the day title opens a sheet of dates. A month page presents its ruler as weeks, each opening its week. The phone's title sheet has dates, Search and Settings.

## The week

The week's page has its title, a calendar sentence, an opener with two figures and a comparison when the record supports one. Goal rows say what happened and open the work behind them. The days below link to their own pages with words you wrote.

## The month

The month's page shows recorded time over a ruler of days, goals coming to a date, goal rows with their weeks, and practice work. Lines you wrote open the day they came from. The phone presents the ruler week by week.

## The year

The year's page shows its recorded figures over the months, goal events, practice work and the pictures of done you kept. A few selected lines from across the year close the page, each opening its source day. A year with no record has its title and room to write.

## Future pages

A day, week or month that has not begun shows goal dates and handed-over things that fall in it, alongside room for writing. It gets no calendar-derived sentence or account of work that has not happened.

## Writing and privacy

Your writing stays where you put it when new records arrive. If another device saved first, saving pauses and your unsaved text remains available to copy before you choose the saved version.

Turning off **share your work surface** keeps private work writing out of Donna's generated reads. See [Your data](/docs/reference/your-data) for the reading and storage controls.
